Live Capture

Move the pointer over a section on a page and click. The section is then ready to paste into Webflow. Live Capture collects the HTML and each CSS rule that applies to the HTML. Then FlowPaste sends the result through the same converter that it uses for pasted code.

Steps

  1. On a page, click the FlowPaste toolbar icon.
  2. Select Capture an element. Click the section.
  3. In the Webflow Designer, paste the section from History.

Limits

  • Use Live Capture only on content that you have the right to use again.
  • If a widget uses JavaScript, Live Capture captures only the current appearance of the widget.

Questions

Why does FlowPaste ask for access to all sites?

FlowPaste uses this access only to read stylesheets that a page loads from other domains. This access is optional. FlowPaste asks for the access only when you start a capture.
