Features / Copy without CMS

Copy CMS content without the bindings

When you copy a Collection List or a CMS-bound element, Webflow removes the CMS connections. The paste is empty or shows placeholder text. FlowPaste copies the element as the canvas shows it: every item, with its real text and images, as plain Div Blocks, headings and images that keep their classes.

[IN]Ways to start it
⌘C on a CMS element → FlowPaste offers "Copy without CMS"
⌥⇧U (Alt+Shift+U) → copy the selected element without CMS
FlowPaste panel → History → Copy selected
[OUT]What you get in Webflow
  • Collection List → plain Div Blocks, one per item
  • Bound text and images → their current values
  • Classes and styles stay the same

Steps

  1. Select the Collection List (or any element) on the canvas.
  2. Press ⌥⇧U, or click Copy without CMS when FlowPaste offers it after ⌘C.
  3. Paste with ⌘V where you want it: another page, another site, or a static template.

Limits

  • FlowPaste copies the items the canvas shows. Use the list's settings to show all items first (limit, pagination).
  • The copy is static. New CMS items don't appear in it.

Questions

Why does Webflow paste my Collection List empty?

Webflow strips CMS bindings when you copy, because the collection may not exist where you paste. FlowPaste copies the content itself instead of the bindings.
